Pero, ay como me duele

Hello all, the weather's looking up here(it had been raining quite miserably FYI) so I'm in a pretty decent mood. I find it so funny that charming little Miley Cyrus has gone and gotten herself in more trouble. After her  internet scandals(two, mind you), she has gone and posed for a "racy" Vanity Fair shoot, which she later apologized for, saying she was manipulated by Annie Leibovitz, and it was all a mistake. Apparently, her parents were actually present, although Disney says they left ten minutes early. Now, I won't deny the girl makes some poor decisions but it's another thing to do so after claiming in interviews what a committed Christian you are and how you are pure and are saving yourself for marriage. Now, when did we last hear that? Oh yeah, Britney Spears. Oh, I'm sure miss Cyrus will be fine

I'm a barbie girl, In a barbie world

Life in plastic, it's fantastic! Yes, I'm aware that I get the weirdest songs stuck in my head. What can I say, I'm talented. Now, clearly no one comments, thus implying no one reads. If anyone does read, commenting would be much appreciated so I can see if anyone actually exists, and thus continue my pointless rambling. I know my blog is probably boring and silly, and I can blame no one for not reading it, but if any one human being does, in fact, read, comments would be much appreciated. Merci beaucoup!

Summer lovin', had me a blast...

As the weather here becomes increasingly warm and sunny, one can't help but feel the onset of summer. I live near the water, but rarely go to the beach. Truth be told, I don't especially like our beach. Or the people who happen to be there. I prefer beaches where I'm on vacation. Besides, why go to the beach here when I have my pool? I just throw on my bathing suit and towel and swim. If I feel social, I'll call up a few friends while I'm at it, and we can be stupid and push each other off the diving board and look for the old supersoakers. Ah, the wonders of immaturity. I remember my pool party when we graduated. Ooh, horrible story time, let's go. Well, to start off, it decided to ignore the weather reports and be gray and gloomy, and eventually started to rain. Joy. Well, the weather finally cleared up, so we decided to go outside and attempt to swim. Big mistake. First my friend, who I will refer to simply as J, went out in her bathing suit. This is all-female, mind you. Well, she decided to show us all her new, black, cut to the belly-button suit. Did I mention she was not all too thin and has DD's? Yeah, it was a traumatic sight. My parents being there? Even worse. Then, my two friends E and C decide to start fighting, pushing one another into the pool, and one dives in in her underwear. Why do I associate with these people? Who knows. It was horrific. The weather cleared up slightly, and my friends decided not to wait for us to put out food, but to raid my kitchen obnoxiously, making a huge mess. Then came the food. Not one single surface was not littered with half-empty soda cans, and might I add, we had to pour those ALL down the drain. Yeah, it took quite a while. This party made me decide to not host anything at my house again. No joke. Well, storytime's over kids. I'm sure it was less than amusing. PS, if anyone is actually reading, throw me a comment!

Spring break!

Well, since I live in a very Jewish-centric community(I, myself, am not Jewish however) We got separate vacations for Easter and Passover. Happy Passover to those who celebrate. Well, to continue, I have off for the week thankfully, because I really do detest this ongoing educational process. I really just want the year(working/school) to end so I can go on vacation. Egypt, baby!! God willing, of course. I love going to Egypt, and this year, we're staying longer, so I'm especially thrilled. My best friend also moved there, so I really miss her, and I am really looking forward to seeing her and sister. She, her sister, my sister, and I are close, so I really can't wait to leave. I planned my plane outfit a while ago. Well, I planned one, then changed it. This one is pretty much final though. I'd tell you, but I can't risk having someone I'll see read this and have my outfit spilled. It's cute though. That seems really weird that I'm worried people will know, but I didn't even tell my sister, so it's childishly amusing to me. I got two gorgeous dresses today, though, so that's nice. One is peach and flowing, empire waisted, it's stunning. The other is a cute black halter, also empire, with two satin bows, and asymmetrically cut with ribbon trim on the bottom. It's so cute. I love dresses, mind you. This will sound incredibly weird, but I really do. It's so fun to get dolled up, with your hair done, a great dress, some fabulous shoes, and wonderful accessories. Not to mention makeup. Because you really can't be overdone for an event like that. I love summer just as much. I love going to the pool or beach, swimming, getting shells, wearing a new bathing suit, and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. I love big floppy hats and large beach bags and cute swimsuits and flip flops, and I love to swim. Swimming is really my lifeblood. Our vacation place is within walking distance to the sea, so that's fun. Our old place used to be closer to the pool, but this one is closer to the sea, which provides a gorgeous view. I'm so overzealous, I know, but this is what makes the boring winter worthwhile, and it's getting so close, really. Only 70 days, and I started counting at 154. So that's like 2 months and ten days. Pfft, I was ecstatic when we hit the three month mark. Well, I'll spare you and end this rambling post.

How lovely

Well, today was the competition, and I got an honorable mention, which is, ehh. Oh well. We all knew who'd win anyway. Nothing is really occuring, but thankfully my break starts tomorrow. Honestly, I'm so tired of school and such. I can't wait to sleep, amuse myself, and start reviewing for finals and AP exams, not to mention hopefully SAT II's. Well, I know it's quite short and did you no good, but today's pretty busy, so sorry. Write back soon!

It's too late to apologize...

Hello again, I figured I'd update this while I had a minute, and so I will. Tomorrow I have a poetry competition(in French) so hopefully God willing that'll go well. Please, don't be offended by the use of God, I just was raised to say God willing for things in the future, because according to my religion it should be done. I'm not saying anyone else should, nor am I trying to preach. Okay, done with the little spiel, let's continue. I'm supposed to wear something "Egyptian looking," Since my poem is Osiris ou la fuite en Egypte. After much searching, I found a Nefertiti necklace. I have lots of pharaonic stuff, but it's all silver(my mom took the gold to wherever, who even knows) or white gold, and my skirt is gold, so that did me no good. Oh well, we'll deal and hopefully it'll be okay. To explain the subject line, it has nothing to do with this post so much as it does having that song stuck in my head. I remember having La Bamba stuck in my head, oof, that one wouldn't get out. (para bailar la bamba se necesita una poca de gracia... shutting up, right) Well, not really too much else is happenin in these parts, our lives are pretty boring. It's bizarrely summer-y, even though it's only April, and I live in the Northeast:) Well, tha's okay. I was getting so tired of sweaters and my shearling boots, this is such a welcome change. Gotta love global warming, huh? Maybe not, but you get it(hopefully).
Au revoirs mes cheries!!

Dear oh dear

Well, after an unfortunate incident with my earlier blog(on a different host site) I have decided it is in my best interest to create an entirely new blog that I can hopefully rely on to work, and not randomly refuse to allow me to post. Though I doubt anyone will read my blog because I am no less utterly boring than anyone else, it was just such a shame that my other blog died so young, so I felt I should reinvent it. Well, there is little if anything to update any nonexistent readers to, so I will only welcome you to the debut of my new blog. Wish me luck!
